Do you accept my insurance?
At Denver Sports and Family Chiropractic Center, we work with all forms of insurance. We require payment at the time of service and will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Your insurance company will send you a check in the mail for what is covered by your plan. The reason we are not an in-network provider is because it limits the quality of care by dictating how many times we can see a patient and the type of care we can provide. We are able to provide the highest quality of care by being out of network, truly allowing us to serve our patients.
We understand that insurance premiums are increasing and covered benefits are decreasing, which means the patient pays more. We know that getting out of pain takes more time and effort than staying out of pain. Your choice of prevention and supportive care will benefit you financially and physically in the long term. Recent articles show people who use chiropractic first spent on average $1,200 less per year in healthcare, are less likely to end up in surgery, and have higher satisfaction rates.

Can I use my HSA?
Yes, we accept HSA and can provide you with itimized receipts.
How long will it take to fix my problem?
Each patient is unique but most cases resolve completely within 4-8 visits. Most patients begin to feel better immediately after their first treatment. We spend more time with you than other chiropractors and therefore need to see you less.
What should I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit, you can expect to have a conversation with the doctor about what’s bothering you and your goals with chiropractic care. Next you will receive a complete chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological examination to evaluate your health. Dr. May does not x-ray all her patients, as in her experience most complaints are musculoskeletal and can be successfully treated without imaging. If the examination reveals red-flags, an appropriate referral for imaging or to another physician will be made.
At that point, she will discuss her findings and make an appropriate recommendation on treatment. If you are a candidate for chiropractic care, she will perform your first adjustment. Depending on the patient and the complaint, treatments may also include soft tissue treatments, stretching programs and/or rehabilitation.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please bring the proper change of clothing, shorts or tank tops, related to the area of complaint.
